Nintendo & Mario

 Com cada jogo Mario lançado, a Nintendo ajusta o moveset de Mario tanto em termos de recursos quanto de entrada. A Nintendo está constantemente procurando fazer Mario se sentir melhor para os jogadores e apresentar novas mecânicas que expandam o que Mario pode fazer. Em uma entrevista para o Washington Post, Kenta Motokura da Nintendo elaborou isso.

“Em 'Super Mario Galaxy' e nos títulos subsequentes, Mario foi capaz de pular da beira de um penhasco. Depois de 'Super Mario 3D Land' [para o Nintendo 3DS], fizemos mais melhorias para dar aos jogadores um pouco mais de controle no ar. Além de trabalhar no salto nos últimos anos, também trabalhamos para tornar mais fácil pular sobre alguns dos inimigos de Mario, por exemplo, fazendo-os ficarem parados por um breve momento.



Adicionamos recursos e habilidades a 'Super Mario Odyssey' que funcionam com o estilo sandbox. Implementamos novas ações básicas usando o chapéu e mais ações excepcionais usando sua capacidade de captura. Estamos constantemente trabalhando para criar um Mario que pareça uma extensão do jogador, enquanto planejamos ações melhores e melhoramos a sensação de interagir com o mundo. Acho que é muito provável que continuemos a ver novos tipos de ações de Mario no futuro. ”

Speed Run Strategies

  Speed Run Strategies  unlocked in no time! Always expect missiles. The level designs in Mikey Boots love to throw missiles in what seems to be the central path. Once a missile has passed, it won’t launch again, so take it slowly if you’re not worried about your time.  The levels are built such that you should be able to speed through them as long as you maintain your momentum. Timed elements like moving spikes, sparks, and missiles won’t be in your way if you’ve been fast enough reaching them.
