Ubisoft delays release of Splinter Cell: Conviction and R.U.S.E. Games
Ubisoft declared in its third quarter 2009 fiscal year that Splinter Cell: Conviction and R.U.S.E both will be launched during company 2010-11 fiscal year which starts on April 2010.
The date for release of Splinter Cell: Conviction and R.U.S.E was not provided by Ubisoft, but confirms the launch of Splinter Cell: Conviction in April 2010. No word of Ubisoft on the launch date of R.U.S.E.
According to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, Ubisoft is under a financial crunch and are planning to end its fiscal year since there financial target were not met despite having some successful game such as Assassin’s Creed II whose sales per unit is estimated to reach a dream mark of 9 million by end of March 2010 and Just Dance. Earlier we heard from Ubisoft about the release of Assassin’s Creed III.
Ubisoft also stated that its main goal will be to cover console platforms such as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in upcoming years not the PC.
