Sonic Jump, Sonic 4 Episode 2, Sonic CD, Crazy Taxi and Virtua Tennis to join world’s first service for streaming games on mobile as easily as movies or music
Hatch has today announced its partnership with SEGA to bring beloved, high quality gaming experiences to new audiences on mobile. As a first step in their partnership, the two companies have agreed to bring the SEGA games Sonic Jump, Sonic 4 Episode 2, Sonic CD, Crazy Taxi and Virtua Tennis to Hatch, the world’s first cloud gaming service for mobile that lets players stream games as easily as they would movies or music.
Hatch Entertainment was founded in 2016 in Espoo, Finland, as a new company spun out from Rovio Entertainment.
SEGA is the latest partner to sign on to distribute their content via Hatch, joining a highly curated, hand-picked collection of titles from established majors like Bandai Namco (PAC-MAN CE DX), Square Enix (Hitman Sniper) and Ubisoft (Rayman Fiesta Run) and celebrated indies like ustwo Games (Monument Valley), Frogmind (Badland) and Headup Games (the Bridge Constructor franchise), and of course, you can also find the worlds loved Angry Birds Classic in Hatch.
Hatch’s cloud gaming service means that games are no longer downloaded – they are played over the Internet, without degradation in quality – freeing up local storage space on mobile devices and eliminating the need for downloads, installations, updates or other hassles.
