Animaniacs used a heavy musical production for an animated program, with each episode with at least one original score. The idea for an original music score in each episode came from Steven Spielberg. Animaniacs used an orchestra of 35 pieces, and seven composers were hired to write the original underline for the Run series: the use of the Great Orchestra in the modern animation of Warner Bros. began with the predecessor Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures, but Spielberg pushed for its even more use in Animaniacs. Although the result was a very expensive show to produce,  "The sound differentiates us from all the others in animation, ," said Jean MacCurdy, the executive in charge of production for the series.  According to Steve and Julie Bernstein, not only was the music of the Animaniacs written in the same style as that of the composer Carl Stalling of Looney Tunes, but that the music was recorded on the Eastwood score stage, which was used by Stalling as well as his piano. The senior producer Tom Ruegger said that the writers Randy Rogel, Nicholas Hollander, and Deanna Oliver wrote  "A lot of music " for the series and how can not recreate undeveloped several games in the class for the Nintendo!
